Food hygiene are the conditions and measures necessary to ensure the safety of food from production to consumption.
Food and hygiene. Food hygiene otherwise known as food safety can be defined as handling preparing and storing food or drink in a way that best reduces the risk of consumers becoming sick from the food borne disease. Lack of adequate food hygiene can lead to foodborne diseases and death of the consumer. Codex alimentarius defines food hygiene as all conditions and measures necessary to ensure the safety and suitability of food at all stages of the food chain and food safety as assurance that food will not cause harm to the consumer when it is prepared andor eaten according to its intended use.
